The SWM32 is a modular wideband (20-3000MHz) switching system that can be factory configured for Fan-OUT (SWM32) or Fan-IN (SWM32i) signal routing, and up to 32x32 in a single 6RU unit. The unit also supports expansion to 64x64, or even 128x128 by adding more hardware to the configuration. The SWM32X is the same unit but includes our larger Option X touchscreen display.

Field configurable from a small 4x4 to as large as a 32x32, it is designed to replace and automate a set of multi-coupler and manual patch cord bays or switches. The input and output axis can be populated in single channel increments independently as needed.

The unit is available in a distributive Fan-OUT version (SWM32) or a combining Fan-IN version (SWM32i). These units are also now available in C-Band, X-band, and Wideband configurations. Our technical staff can help configure the exact system for your specific application.

    Detailed Description

    Eliminating multi-couplers, manual patch bays and patch cords, the wideband SWM32 is a solid-state modular switch array specifically designed for routing IF, P-Band, and L-Band signals from
    20-3000MHz. Fully populated, the unit provides 32 input ports and 32 output ports. The unit is configurable from as small as 4x4 to 32x32 in independent increments of one input channel, or one output channel. Multiple units can be used to build configurations of 64x64, or even up to 128x128.

    This design allows isolated failure capability. Should an I/O blade experience a damaging signal or a rare failure, it will only affect that individual channel and not a bank of channels.

    The 6RU rack mount unit can be populated with up to thirty-two input blades and thirty-two output blades. For the SWM32 version, the input blades install at the hinged rear of the unit while the output blades install at the front (behind the hinged front panel). All blades are secured within the unit for rugged and trouble free operation.

    The front panel includes a touchscreen display with menu driven operation. The screen may be pass-code locked to prevent unintentional operation. The unit can be configured with one or two (full redundant) hot-swappable plug-in control CPUs.

    Each CPU includes an LXI 10/100 Ethernet port (with web browser), and a microSD memory slot for high security installations. Self-monitoring hot-swap plug-in power supplies are standard with an independent and redundant design. The unit has independent dual AC power inputs designed for any international AC power source. A third supply can be added for redundant LNB powering if required. The LNB option can also be used to power our single-port FiberSTIK fiber-optic receivers. The unit is also compatible with RouteWarePRO control software.
