UC1

System UC1 is a modular high reliability switch product specifically designed for applications needing smaller low cost switching in a 1RU package.

Our flexible UC1 switch system provides an automated method of providing low-cost switching in a small form factor. Under program control, manual, or direct alarm input, this unit provides redundancy switching for single, dual, or up to quad channels. Plug in elements (PUCs) are available for a variety of digital and analog signals including TTL, 422, ASI, IF, L-Band and others up to 18GHz, and some options to 50GHz..

These PUC elements can also be located a distance from the main UC1 chassis to minimize your signal cabling. Simply add our extension cable.

NOTE: Although it is available in standard configurations, the design construction makes it simple to build for custom or special requirements. Our technical staff can help configure the exact system to meet your specific application. Contact the factory.

    The UC1 switch system provides a modular solution for a variety of signals up to 50GHz, and is designed for smaller requirements. This product delivers ultra-high signal performance coupled with advanced remote/manual control and monitoring with 10/100 LXI certified Ethernet port, multi-serial port, front panel control, direct alarm input port, and auto-sense (on some PUC's).

    The unit comes with rack mount flanges, but can also has rubber feet for bench-top use, and also included a cable restraint bracket as well. The unit can provide redundancy switching, 1xN switching as well as full matrix and other complex or custom configurations. Plug-ins are available for a variety of digital and analog signals including ASI, IF, L-Band and others up to 40GHz. Plug-ins can be mixed and matched as needed.

    Another great UC1 feature (for additional flexibility), is that the PUC's can be removed from the chassis and located some distance from the chassis, and closer to where you need a switch function. This could be helpful for running high frequency tests on a bench or next to an analyzer. The factory offers a number of extension cables from 3 feet to 300 feet in length.

    The unit includes redundant power supplies with dual power inputs (AC or AC/DC). The manual controls may be locked to prevent unintentional operation. Monitored power supplies are standard with an independent and redundant design. The unit's AC power input is designed for any international AC power source, and an optional wide-range DC power input is also available.
