System S2084B:
High Density Modular Switching System
High performance and expandable, the second generation S2084B offers a tremendously
flexible architecture for high density 19" rack mounted switching configurations. A
total of twenty rear-facing module slots are available to install a growing number
module types. Various types of inner backplane
configurations are used to deliver a total system configuration by interconnecting the
modules internally through the backplane.
A total of four remote interface slots are also available to install a combination of
interface types to control the system. This includes GPIB (IEEE-488), Serial types
(RS-232C, RS-422A, RS-485) or Ethernet control. Any single or multiple interface type may
be installed.
